A bigger inverter can supply more *running* power at once. A bigger battery can store more energy for later.

Illustrative 550 W-rated panels. Select sunshine to compare daytime and night.

Please note: This is a simple learning demonstration using example appliance watts and assumed battery losses, not an equipment-sizing tool. Green never means a real appliance is guaranteed to work. The electric stove tile represents just ONE illustrative 2,000 W cooking ring; an entire cooker, several rings or an oven can use substantially more power. AC units, fridges and pumps can need much more power when starting. Real results depend on appliance labels, simultaneous use, battery output limits, inverter surge rating, wiring, sunlight and professional design. The no-sun battery runtime is an idealised constant-load illustration, not a promise. The sunshine examples assume 70% of rated panel power for strong sun, 20% when cloudy and 0% at night, expressed as simplified AC-equivalent output after assumed losses. These are made-up teaching scenarios, not a live weather reading or site generation forecast. The battery draw is a single one-hour snapshot, NOT hours of guaranteed daylight or battery charging. Compatible equipment, battery state/limits and safe transfer arrangements are required. Panel count does not increase the inverter's rated output.
